  Technology in Education.
Have you ever taught using high technology? Or still using manual? Nowadays, teachers  are using high-tech in learning-teaching process. Technology in education is the using of technology in learning teaching process. In many places, especially in big city like Jakarta, there are many schools  are using technology. In this era,  the using of technology is very important, technology make us feel easier in teaching-learning process but teaching using technology is not only the best way. We can use traditional teaching method.
Now in education, technology is  one  of the important thing. Most of teachers  are using technology when they are teaching. With technology, we increasingly have a network to various countries. Thus we can share about education in Indonesia even we can learn from foreign countries about their education. May be we can imitate education program or the technical for become an  excellent teacher. With technology, dissemination of information can also be accelerated. Technology will also be used as a teacher, because in fact we can learn from the technology that works without wasting much time and produce properly. Technology can make our time  become easier and more efficient. With technology teachers may have many experiences and knowledge about ICT and many educational program/softwares. Educational software can help us to solve our problem, like in mathematics there are so many educational program, for example Geogebra. This software can solve problem about Algebra. All teachers in this world will use technology for teaching-learning and it will become their habit, so it will be better if all teacher especially in Indonesia can use technology when they teach. It will make student become smart use technology.
Technology makes our life easier when we need to do something. Teaching and learning process become practical in the old teaching method, teacher has write in whiteboard, but now teacher can use educational software. For example Geogebra, Geogebra is once of software in mathematics. This software can solve your problem. You just type your question and in a second the result will appear. The result is trustable and valid. Same in education. Technology make teacher or student easy to do their work. Teacher also can calculate student score. If you are lazy to bring your students’ assignments, maybe you can suggest them to submit it by email. It can make you and your student easier. So your students do not have any reasons to forget to bring it. Technology is an easy access for students. Students can search many information about subject and search for their assignment. Just type your keyword and then will appear much information. And of course it make they easier to make their assignment.
However sometimes we need to use traditional method, because actually technology is not only the best way in education. By using the old teaching methods (without technology) is also can attract the attention of students. Teaching without use the technology may be looks very unattractive and boring. Actually it is false, because although we do not use technology, we can still use other facilities are also does not less interesting. Activities that can be done is to play games that relate to the lesson. All students would be interested to play game. Moreover, there is the prize for the winner. This activity does not use technology, but it can increas creativity of teachers and students. In a International  Conference UNESCO-APEID I ever heard speaker from india, said that “In India, especially in a small city, it is hard to get technology. That is why to make me make a very interesting book. Now there are so many people know about my book, including developed countries. But the book is only sold in India in Indian languages and English.” She said ‘Education is not only obtained from good technology, but can are also be achieved with creativity and of course with our textbook.” Her story very inspired me to make something creative and different in education. Without technology student also can improve their creativity. For example, if they want to presentation they do not always use power point, maybe they can make poster or something interesting for their presentation.
In this technology era, education is important because this is a globalization era. Teachers are expected to be more update and can use something new for education program through the application. Technology can make our life easier in doing something. For example, if you are lazy or always forget to bring or submit your assignment, technology can help you to make it simpler and more efficient. You can use email so it will be faster, simpler and also cheaper. Your assignment will send and you do not have to be afraid to lost your
assignment, because email can save your assignment. Technology can attract your students’ attention. But technology is not only the best way in education, because perhaps technology can decrease your creativity. Because you just use what people have made, and you are not make something new for education. You can attract your students attention although you use old method. There are a lot of ways to get your students’ attention. You can do it if you have many creativity and patient. New generation of teacher must be able to develop their creativity without technology. This is our challenges to change education in Indonesia. We must able to compare ‘technology’ and ‘creativity’ make our student become creative and make something new in education
